OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY INDUSTRY
GROUP INAUGURAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION
2008 (No. 9 Productions)

We have previously held several events at Auckland Convention Centre Great team work and a flexible venue keep us coming back.

Our key objectives for the Occupational Health and Safety Industry Group Inaugural Conference and Exhibition were networking, education and fun. From the original booking to the follow up communication, attention to detail and true professional team work on the day – The Auckland Convention Centre team helped ensure the success of the event. Special mention to Ruchi Ladkani and Justin Poihipi, plus the team at Austins catering and with help from Peek Display you CAN get 38 booths on the BNZ Foyer. Answers to challenging questions were never “NO” – they were, “how can we make this work for you” (that’s what an event manager likes to hear!) and you can quote me on that!!!

WORLD INDIGENOUS TELEVISION BROADCASTERS CONFERENCE (inaugural event)
2008 (Te Ara Toi – event managers contracted to Maori Television)

We had previously held the AUT Maori Expo at Auckland Convention Centre and came back because of the friendly, efficient and competent staff, appropriate sized space within the venue, and location of the venue.

For the World Indigenous Television Broadcasters Conference we wanted to host a quality international event that was reflected in the programme, the speakers and the supporting facilities (e.g. venue). Our key objectives were to establish the Conference as a prestigious, permanent international event and to unify, strengthen and promote indigenous broadcasters throughout the world.

The Auckland Convention Centre staff fully embraced the event and its objectives through: availability – making time to discuss all the various issues and appreciating the fluidity of an inaugural event; willingness – their approach was to remove obstacles and find solutions; affability – they built relationships that ensured a great working environment; and professionalism – they know their venue and are proficient operators.
(Louise Clarke, World Indigenous Television Broadcasters Conference)
