Excitement mounts as fifty-five of New Zealand’s most talented young musicians take to the stage for another thrilling night of music. In August 2011 their performances for Wellington and Auckland audiences were breathtaking; in October they wowed the Christchurch audience while performing for world famous opera stars Placido Domingo and Katherine Jenkins.
This first NZSO National Youth Orchestra concert for 2012 promises to astound. Led by eminent New Zealand-born conductor Tecwyn Evans, it features phenomenal 16-year-old Columbian cellist Santiago Cañón Valencia, already known around the world for his extraordinary virtuosic talent.
Come, see and hear the NZSO National Youth Orchestra and experience the energy, the passion and the sound of tomorrow.
