Background
THE EDGE is Auckland’s premiere performing arts centre. The Development Programme at THE EDGE aims to support the growth of New Zealand practitioners, their work and their art forms in a practical context and to connect them with audiences. In this programme, a curated season of productions is presented under the banner of STAMP, committed to presenting work that is fresh, contemporary and with a distinctive New Zealand flavour.
In December 2008, following the second showing of Flintlock Musket at Herald Theatre, STAMP approached the collective with a view to supporting the further development of the work to fulfill the vision of its creators. As a result, Flintlock Musket has been invited to take part in the PASSPORT STAMP Initiative.
This initiative reflects the desire of THE EDGE to see New Zealand works reach as wide an audience as possible, and sees THE EDGE acting as executive producer for the work.
