Kirk graduated from Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School in 1994, and has appeared in numerous theatrical productions. Highlights include: Wellington Fringe Festival’s production of Taki Toru; performing in Duncan Sarkie’s production of Snooze in New York and writing, directing and performing in the Taki Rua production of Strata. Strata won three Chapman Tripp awards in 2003 for Outstanding New Playwright, Most Original Production and Best New Director. It also had a sell out season at the AK05 Festival and a North Island tour. Kirk is currently on New Zealand TV screens in Outrageous Fortune. This is Kirk’s second play.

Rachel graduated from Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School in 1992. She went on to take part in several new works by some of New Zealand’s most outstanding Maori playwrights including Briar Grace Smith, Hone Kouka, Mitch Tawhi Thomas and Witi Ihimaera. In 2008 Rachel graduated from the Prague Film School where she completed a diploma (specialising in directing, screen writing and cinematography). Film credits include Niki Caro’s Whale Rider, Taika Waititi’s feature films Eagle vs Shark and Boy and directing her first short film The Winter Boy by Kylie Meehan. |

Jack Gray

Jack is a freelance choreographer, dancer, teacher and writer. He has had residencies and scholarships in Austria, France, Malta and Taiwan. Jack performs extensively with Atamira Dance Collective and a range of Kaupapa Maori projects. A teacher at UNITEC and Performing Arts School of NZ, he also writes for Theatreview and DANZ Quarterly. Jack has enjoyed training the cast to find a unique physical expression through combining haka, mau rakau, contact improvisation and contemporary dance. |

Tama Waipara

Originally a clarinetist, Tama trained at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, completing a Masters degree in 2001. Immediately following, Tama was signed by New York indie label ObliqSound as a singer/songwriter, releasing his debut album Triumph of Time internationally in 2004. Since then Tama has released an EP, Leaving Paradise, and recently Sir+Plus and The Requirements which debuted at Auckland Festival with a show written by Tama of the same name. Tama has recently composed for Based on Auckland, Rabbit, Symbole et Realite, and Whero’s New Net. |

Sean Lynch
Composer/Musician
Sean has been working in the New Zealand theatre industry for over 20 years as an actor, musician, director, designer and technician. A founding member of Electra Theatre, Hamilton’s only professional theatre company, which ran for eight years, he has since worked in Australia and Japan. As a songwriter and composer, Sean belonged to the band Hands of Glory and now is preparing to release an album for his present band, Conway.

John Verryt
Production Designer
John is based in Auckland and trained in design for live performance at Theatre Corporate and Mercury Theatre. Some favourite shows include Aida, Falstaff, Carmen, Don Pasquale, and Hansel and Gretel for The NBR New Zealand Opera, Forbidden Memories and Inland for Douglas Wright Dance Company, Fia Ola and Surface for Black Grace Dance Company, Tristan & Isolde for Michael Parmenter’s Commotion Company, Opera NZ Macbeth, Hamlet, and Jack and the Beanstalk for The Large Group, The Candlestick Maker and The Pickle King for Indian Ink Theatre Company, and Cyrano de Bergerac and King Lear for Theatre at Large. John has also designed numerous productions for Silo Theatre, Auckland Theatre Company, Mercury Theatre and Theatre Corporate. |

Jeremy has been designing for dance and theatre for the past eight or so years.
