THE EDGE Foyer Bars

Aotea Centre

There are bars on every level of the Aotea Centre, opening 60 minutes prior to events so you can gather with friends for a drink before a show. You can also avoid the interval rush by pre-ordering your interval drinks, which will be waiting for you as soon as the first act concludes.

Herald Theatre

The Herald Theatre bar is a relaxed and contemporary space where you can enjoy a drink while looking at artwork on loan from the Wallace Arts Trust. This bar opens an hour before performances at the boutique Herald Theatre.

Auckland Town Hall

Deutz Bar is the main gathering place at Auckland Town Hall where people gather before an event. Alongside the Great Hall, the Supper Room is also utilized as a bar space, and for something more intimate, the VIP Rooms and Balcony Foyer are available for hire for private hostings.

The Civic

The Theatre Bar is the place for patrons seated in the stalls (ground level) to get refreshments and Verandah Bar is the obvious place for those upstairs in the circle to go to, but explore a little further in the exotic splendour of The Civic and you can find the Elephant Room and the Boro Bodur Room are smaller spaces to get a drink.
