THE EDGE is the hub of performing arts and entertainment in Auckland, the centre for your experience of live performance in the city.

Comprising four of the city’s finest venues - Aotea Centre, Herald Theatre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic and Aotea Square - these diverse and distinctly unique spaces are located within minutes of each other in the Auckland CBD, and cater for all your interests, from intimate theatre to large scale musicals to outdoor rock concerts. Each of our venues is supported by the provision of a range of quality operating services and facilities to ensure your experience, whether a hirer or patron, is of the highest standard.

THE EDGE venues are the preferred choice for many visiting international companies and artists and have become a required stop for major productions touring Australasia. Our venues also host the regular subscription seasons of many of New Zealand’s leading performing arts companies and several of the city’s festivals.

Our venues are also home to Auckland Conventions which caters for a range of events, from multi-day conferences to product launches, meetings to exhibitions, gala dinners to award ceremonies.

Aotea Square
Aotea Square reopened on 1 October 2010 after undergoing an extensive redevelopment programme. It is now available to be booked for events or as a place to meet friends or sit and have lunch. The redevelopment also updated the front of the Aotea Centre, including the addition of BOX, a café, bar and box office on the terrace of the Aotea Centre.
